Around the huddle
T.D. - Administrator
I live near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I am founder and administrator of Na Dead Raibead. I am a senior at Penn State University.
My journey to loving Celtic is a complicated one. I really had no immediate relatives who are Celtic fans. However, I was always raised to appreciate my Irish heritage and I was always interested in the Irish political struggle. I have traveled to Ireland 5 times and often stayed with my relatives in County Tyrone so my interest in Ireland was boosted from that. Over the years because of said interest I started taking up an interest in rebel music in High school. I then found Celtic through the music.
My Celtic related past?
Before Na Dead Raibead I was a "Super Moderator" on Talkceltic.net. I was also heavily involved in the original Celtic facebook group which had something like 600 members when I joined. (Dead Raibead evolved from that group as you can find out about in our About Us section). I made the journey to Glasgow last year and I saw paradise. I also am known to frequent the Huddleboard.

Well I currently live in Western Pennsylvania in the Pittsburgh area. I am a university student going for a degree in Sport Management. I was born in New Jersey (don't worry there is nothing Jersey about me.) I then moved to Worcester, Massachusetts just an hour outside of Boston. Living close to Boston I began to appreciate my Irish heritage( County Cork and County Down.). I was never a Soccer fan until 2005. It was by chance I saw a Celtic match on the TV and I immediately fell in love. I began to look up information about Celtic via Books, Video's etc. Then it was solidified I was forever changed and became part of the Celtic Family.
I was exposed to Na Dead Raibead in 2008 thanks to Patrick Sullivan(or Petey as we call him) and have been active since then. Luckily enough I have met some great pals on here. I have been on two trips we have set up as a group including NYC and Dayon, Ohio and it was a great time. Summer 2010 I went to Boston to see my first Celtic match at Fenway Park vs Sporting Lisbon and it was amazing. I met some great people and made new friends thanks to the Boston CSC. Also at the Boston CSC I was able to meet Neil Lennon and Joe Ledley. I have not been to Paradise but I will make the pilgrimage soon enough. I also hope to make an extended stay in Ireland or Scotland. Well that's enough about me.

I became a Celtic supporter as a result of Celtic coming out to Colorado for the MLS All-Star game in 2007. I had long been looking for a European team to support and after meeting some Celtic supporters and watching Celtic play I quickly had my team. I bought a Celtic jersey from that season and it just so happened it was the Lisbon Lions 40th anniversary jersey. After doing some research on the Lisbon Lions I continued to research the club and became a bigger and bigger fan. The rest has been history and I couldn't be happier with my support of Celtic.
My favorite Celtic player past or present is Neil Lennon. There's only one Neil Lennon! My favorite Celtic memory from my brief time being a supporter used to be the Scott McDonald goal against AC Milan in the Champions League. However, this goal was recently replaced by the Scott Brown goal and celebration against "them". When it comes to Celtic I just can't get enough.
Hail Hail and enjoy the site!
